Programs Full Time & Flexible Learning

The Faculty provides opportunities for students to enrol in and undertake studies at Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and PhD Degree levels. In 2012 the Faculty under the flexible delivery mode, commenced teaching two masters programs; the Master of Public Administration (MPAdmin) and the Master in Leadership in Development (MLD) programs. This year, in 2013, the Faculty will offer young Papua New Guineans and partners a flexible Diploma in Youth Development (DYD) program – a joint partnership program with the Commonwealth Youth Program and the PNG National Youth Council.

In the near future, flexible and online postgraduate programs will be developed and taught in collaboration with our overseas partner universities and institutions. PhD programs (full-time or part-time) in the fields of social sciences, development communication and journalism, community development, peace and gender studies, theology and religious studies, and related disciplines is already available through the Postgraduate and Research Centre. PhD students will be supervised and mentored by experienced and senior Faculty staff, and where possible, jointly with our overseas university partner scholars.

Students enrolled in Arts Faculty programs aim to improve across-the-board education, provide comprehensive subject discipline and research approach to knowledge acquisition and critical thinking and improve employment opportunities for graduates. Faculty programs encourage students to challenge and critique worldviews and perspective; to be informed critics and problem-solvers in society and to play a leading and sustainable role in developing PNG, the Pacific and the Region.
