Ms Caroline Kupi joined Divine Word University in 2008. She became part of the teaching team in the then Faculty of Flexible Learning and became involved in education and management undergraduate programs. She later was appointed to the Head of Department post for (FL) Undergraduate programs in 2010. In 2012, she became the Head of Department in Finance and Management in the Faculty of Business and Informatics. She has three degrees; a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Goroka in 2008, a Master of Leadership in Education in 2005 and a Master of Leadership in Business Administration degree in 2016 from Divine Word University. She intends to eventually commence her doctoral degree in 2017. She underwent an ALA award scholarship in the University of New England in 2009/2010, a second to an earlier AUSAID scholarship she received for a higher school certificate to St Peters Lutheran College in 1992, to further her knowledge and competencies in leadership, education and Management. She underwent training on instructional design with Commonwealth of Learning in 2010. She received a badge for Online Pedagogy and Teaching through a joint training program between Divine Word University and the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus in 2015. She is a member of the Australian Teacher Education Association and PNG Association for Distance Education. She leads a team of highly qualified and multicultural team of professionals from industry and academia. Under her leadership, the Department ensures continuous relationships with various corporate, government and international partners. She oversees the administration of the Department of Finance and Management and its programs offered in the Madang and the Port Moresby Campuses and with various stakeholders. She teaches in management, human resource and management research.
