Diploma in Custom Studies

  The Diploma in Customs Studies aims to meet the capacity development needs of officers in public or private sector roles associated with Customs regulations and procedures. The Diploma in Customs Studies program has been designed to develop knowledge and competencies that are required to protect Papua New Guinea's border, communities and industries; enhance facilitation of international trade and travel; and protect and collect revenue for the Government. The program was developed by the PNG Customs Service in partnership with Divine Word University.

Entry requirement

Applicants should hold a grade 12 or matriculation certificate, be from the public or private sector employed in Customs Service or related work with a minimum of three years’ work experience. A good command of English is essential.

Requisites to complete the award

The program consists of eight units of study. Each unit has a ten credit point value and 80credit points are required to be eligible to graduate with the Diploma in Customs Studies award and for all fees to have been paid.
