Great minds have purpose

Great minds have a purpose in life and Divine Word University (DWU) graduates must have a purpose to achieve things for themselves, their families and their country.

DWU President, Fr Jan Czuba highlighted this in his speech at the 33rd graduation ceremony of the university on Sunday 15th March, 2015.

“Today you are graduates, each with your own individual dream.

“The very fact that you are graduating gives you the opportunity to make those dreams come true,” said Fr Czuba.

“Your degrees open the door to new life, new opportunities and new realistic hopes, but you must enter by yourself.”

“Dear graduates, I believe in you and I believe you can achieve your dreams as you have great minds, you obtained quality of education and sound philosophy of life,” he said.

The president was speaking at a ceremony where 764 graduates were awarded their certificates.

Fr Czuba urged the graduates to not be like those that only have wishes and achieve nothing.

“Thus you have purpose in life; do not be like others who have only wishes.”

“I am saying that being a graduate of this university gives you the chance to make an outstanding success of your career and thus influence your personal and professional life,” Fr Czuba said.

The ceremony was a proud moment for parents who contributed immensely to the graduation of their children and it was time for the graduates to return the favour.

“Now it is your turn to show them that you appreciate their investment in your education by doing something really worthwhile with your lives,” the President added.
