Professor Peter Steane is a Catholic priest and has worked with the Faculty of Business and Informatics with their MBA program. He has developed and mentored staff to develop the MBA and MPA programs. He was also awarded by the university for his for outstanding contribution towards teaching and learning in the DWU Master of Business Administration program, his expert advice and sustained commitment to students in the program

At Australian Catholic University, Professor Steane is Associate Dean International and Chair of the CRN Establishment Program for Cardiovascular Health. He holds a substantive position of Professor of Strategy. Dr. Steane has held previous positions at Macquarie Graduate School of Management as Deputy Dean and Associate Dean (International), where he taught strategy, cross cultural management, ethics and governance. His consultancy experience covers a range of Asia-Pacific government bodies, companies, and NGOs in: strategic reviews, ethical audits and fraud prevention systems, and cross-cultural governance. He founded the Indigenous Company Directors Program and is a regular contributor to the Certified Fraud Investigators' Program.
