Department of Communication Arts (Journalism)
PARTNERS
The department has come along way since its establishment in 1981. Much of its success in providing training for communication practioners was made possible with support from our partners. Many were mainstream media organisations and they continue to assist the department through enlisting students for work experience and mentoring.
Today, the department has established relationships with both local and international organisations, including NGOs, to further strengthen development and communication. A number of the departmental staff are members of organisations such as AMIC and take part in international activities. Our partnership has also enabled many successful students to travel overseas to make presentations at conferences.
The benefits of our partnerships have seen improved co-operation between communication outlets and the department.
