Certificate in English Language Arts
The Certificate in English Language Arts is a one semester program of full-time study. The program is open to all people who wish to raise their English language skills and can attend in full-time mode in semester one of the university year. It is anticipated that the majority of candidates might be volunteer workers or members of religious orders arriving in PNG from non English speaking backgrounds.
The program aims to:
- equip religious and volunteer workers coming into PNG from non-English speaking backgrounds with oral and written English language skills

- support the formation and function of an IELTS centre at DWU
- develop and provide short course English language training for particular purposes that could be allied to particular industries or particular language needs
