Master of Education (Curriculum)
Overview
The Master of Education (Curriculum) program is a flexible learning program that is designed for people who hold a bachelor’s degree and want to upgrade their qualifications with specialization in curriculum. Students may choose to take one or two units a semester. If taking two units a semester, the program takes two years to complete.One unit is covered each week. Residential sessions to start each semester are conducted mid-year and end-of-year. The program is particularly appropriate for people responsible for providing leadership for development and implementation of academic programs in their workplace.

Admission
Applicants would normally be required to hold a Bachelor degree or an award equivalent of four years of professional education from a recognized tertiary institution. Applicants whose educational qualifications do not satisfy these requirements, but who have a sound and sufficient basis for application supported by documentation, may be granted admission if they satisfy criteria determined by the faculty board of the Faculty of Education. Provision exists for recognition of prior learning for units taught and assessed at a Master’s level. The maximum credit that may be allowed in the Master’s program is half the value of the total credit points required (four units).
