Postgraduate Diploma in Education (TQUP)
Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Education is a one-year flexible learning teacher qualification upgrading program (TQUP) that is designed to provide teacher training to people who are teaching in schools, but lack a teaching qualification. However, these people have degree qualifications in fields other than education. The program is comprised of a three-week residential each semester followed by activities in distance education mode. Applicants, who are not teaching in a school, will need to negotiate access to a school for professional practice experience.
Location
Available in various centres as warranted by the number of applicants, e.g. Madang, Wewak, Port Moresby and Rabaul.
Admission
Degree holders are eligible to enrol in the PGDE program. Application should be made by contacting the Enrolment Officer, Faculty of Flexible Learning, Divine Word University.
