Rationale
Divine Word University strengthens its position by forming alliances with like-minded institutions both locally and internationally.
Amalgamated Institutions
Proposals to affiliate other institutions of higher education under DWU through enabling legislation will strengthen DWU's relationships with other national and international institutions of higher education.
The College of Allied Health Sciences - CAHS (Madang) amalgamated in April, 2002 and St Benedict's Teachers College, East Sepik Province followed in August, 2003. These institutions have now become campuses of DWU.
The following institutions have signed affiliation agreements with the University.
- The Lutheran School of Nursing Madang - (June 2001)
- Catholic Theological Institute, Bomana, Port Moresby - (November 2002)
- Don Bosco Technological Institute, Port Moresby - (April, 2003)
- Good Shepherd Seminary, Banz, Western Highlands - (March, 2004)
