The Easter Celebration at St. Benedict’s Campus was one of a kind. I’ll never forget it for my entire life. It taught me the true meaning of life. Everything done from Thursday to Monday was really interesting and was enjoyed by everyone. I wished it had never ended. Everyone was really blessed.

During the Easter Celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ here in St. Benedict’s Campus, Divine Word University, I enjoyed very much to reflect on the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
It was a time to pause in my school work and think of how much He had done for me on the cross of Calvary, just to save a sinner like me.
Easter was commemorated through the fourteen Stations of the Cross, Easter fire and the sympathy of students shown by different regional groups.
Different people may have different words for Easter, but I personally would say that, it’s all of God’s unconditional love, mercy, grace and kindness toward mankind that Jesus demonstrated on the cross. He paid it all, all I have to pay is my personal life; give it all to Him.

Holy Week was a challenging experience in my journey of faith. Through faith we celebrated Holy Thursday and Good Friday successfully even though the weather wasn’t fine. Most importantly the celebration of Easter Vigil showed St. Benedict’s Campus is spiritually active.

The Holy Week at St. Benedict’s Campus was very well celebrated by students of different provinces, presenting their ways and life-styles accordingly to their cultures in regional perspective. The happenings were very inspiring to our spirits and as well as physically. Maybe it was not like the previous Easter celebrations.
We need to change from our old ways of life and truly believe in the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We Highlanders took the lead in the liturgy of Good Friday. We dressed in our traditional way and it was very interesting. We had a very big Easter fire on Saturday and different types of drama at Easter Square that made me reflect and I experienced new thoughts.

The way the (Catholics) celebrate it is very challenging to us, the other denominations. The way they show their sympathy to the death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection reflect how they love Him.
