Summary Ms Helen Gimbo lectures in the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department in the Faculty of Business & Informatics. She recently graduated with a Masters in International Sustainable Tourism Management from Monash University, has a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching & Learning (DWU, Madang) and Bachelor of Business majoring in Tourism (SCU, Australia). Ms Gimbo previously worked with Holiday Inn Port Moresby as HR Training Coordinator and with PNG Ports Corporation Ltd (PNG PCL) head office in Port Moresby as Senior HR Learning & Development Officer. She is a certified ILO (International Labour Organisation) Port worker Development Programme Instructor (Stet Maritime Pty Ltd, Singapore) and possesses a Train the Trainer Certificate (PNGHRI, POM) and Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (Learning Potential International Pty Ltd, Adelaide). Her industry experience at Holiday Inn Hotel involved managing the in-house and external training of the hotel staff. Her role at PNG PCL involved coordinating and facilitating training for staff nationwide. Whilst working with PNG PCL, Ms Gimbo coordinated the first MBA online studies program for high potential managers as a corporate management retention strategy.
