Summary Francisca Bevi is a qualified and registered nurse who practiced nursing at St Mary’s Hospital for thirteen years. She spent six years nursing in rural setting before she was employed as a tutor at St Marys’ School of nursing, currently DWU, Rabaul Campus. She gained bachelor in midwifery in 2005 and practiced for two years. She then graduated with post Graduate diploma in teaching from University of Goroka. Currently she is a tutor at SMSON DWU Rabaul Campus. She is teaching Foundation in midwifery, co- teaching MP1 and coordinating the midwifery program. She also supervises diploma in nursing and bachelor in midwifery students in both urban and rural settings. She reports about the midwifery program to the HOD. She takes part in the meetings with other stake holders, especially in negotiating student’s clinical placements with the government. Counterparts. Attended various midwifery workshops and others, She conducts in-services for both educators and clinicians. She is a certified HIV Counselor and a Preceptor.
