Requirements and deadlines for direct applications to DWU

This general information guide is for applicants in the Non-School Leaver category. Non-School Leaver applicants are people who completed their Grade 12 National Examination in previous years and now wish to pursue tertiary studies.

  • Applicants must have a minimum 'B' in English and a 'B' grade average in final year 12 examinations or matriculation studies for Mathematics A or B and all social science subjects. Recognition of prior learning is possible for candidates who have had a mature career in fields such as teaching or clerical work so that their competencies can be shown to have matched the standard requirements for entry.

Previous religious training should include and reflect a genuine acquisition of knowledge in scripture, theology, pastoral, counseling and psychology subjects with a focus on the Church teachings on social justice and with a view of rendering service within the PNG Churches
