DWU Students Hold Floral Tribute
Students of Divine Word University, Madang Campus, came together in prayer, remembrance, and solidarity during a Floral Tribute held in honor of those who lost their lives in the recent sea tragedy in East New Britain Province.
Led by the East New Britain Students Association (ENBSA), the tribute was attended by Fr. Vincent Agbeyome-Akpah, Chaplain of DWU, alongside representatives from the provincial student associations of West New Britain, New Ireland, Morobe, Manus, Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB), East Sepik, West Sepik, Eastern Highlands, Madang, and many other provincial clubs within the Divine Word University community.
The event also brought together members of the DWU Catholic Students Association, Madang Technical College ENBSA, and the Madang East New Britain community, all united in extending their heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones affected by the tragedy.
Through the laying of flowers and moments of prayer, the gathering reflected the spirit of compassion, unity, and support that defines the DWU community. It was a solemn reminder that in times of grief, we stand together as one family, sharing in the sorrow of those who mourn and offering hope through faith.
To the families who have lost their loved ones, the Divine Word University community extends its deepest sympathies and prayers. Until then, little angels and hardworking parents, may your souls rest in eternal peace.
