To assist all DWU staff in their pursuit of excellence in academic writing, the Centre offers a program Grammar for Academic Writing.

The program includes the basic distinctions of meaning in the verb tense system, the use of modal verbs to express degrees of certainty and commitment, and alternative ways of grouping and ordering written information to highlight the flow of an argument.

In 2018, the program is facilitated by Prof John Burton.
