Aims
This program aims to train lower level and district health managers to gain a basic management qualification in order to address the health care needs of Papua New Guinea through the National Health Plan and to meet the high demand of qualified health managers in the PNG Health Care System. This program will also enable managers to get a management qualification through a flexible mode while keeping their jobs as well as providing services to the people of PNG. The program is aligned with the DWU 30 year Strategic Plans, National Health Plan 2011-2020, PNG Medium Term Development Plan 2010-2030 and PNG Vision 2050.
Entry requirement
Applicants are required to be currently employed in the health services as the Officer In charge of health centres or sub health centres or as a unit supervisor in a hospital or district health services. Applicants must be registered with either the Medical Board or the Nursing Council of PNG as a health extension officer or a nurse or equivalent qualification.
