Summary Frank Yagahe is an experienced Health Extension Officer who has served in the field for more than 18 years. Most of his time has been spent as a clinician and a medical educator. As a HEO in the field, he has served with distinction and has set precedents and reputations whereby HEOs in the country can appreciate and enjoy today, as competent and skilled workers. His work experiences go as far as working in the Rural Health Facilities, working as a clinician in Angau Memorial Hospital, teaching as a Tutor in the Highlands Regional School of Nursing in Goroka, and Clinical Coordinator at former College of Allied Health Sciences in Kainantu. He was requested to teach at Divine Word University in 2007 and has been teaching ever since. He has effectively coordinated the rural clinical placements and taught in the medical unit and coordinated all clinical activities. He has written units taught in the Rural Health Department such as Health Promotion, Medicine, Community Health, Family Health, Rural Clinical Practice. As the Head of the Department now, he is working hard to improve and maintain the HEO training and standard and promote discipline and quality in the department.
