Summary

Joanne A. Kiapital is a Nurse Tutor from New Ireland Province.  Her current roles and responsibilities involve teaching and educational activities as a tutor and clinical instructor to all levels of nursing students. She has been part of the team evaluating and recreating the curriculum for the undergraduate Diploma in General Nursing Course for the finalizing of the amalgamation process with the Divine Word University and for the upgrading of the diploma course to a bachelor programme in the near future. She is a Certified Nursing Officer by profession but has been educating nurses since 2005. She received a Bachelor degree in Nursing Management and Education from the University of Papua New Guinea and did Cert IV in Training and Assessment; she also did PG Cert in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education – Flexible Mode DWU.

She is responsible for disciplinary matters and student affairs; assisting students to realise unlawful conducts and assisting them in learning to make good and productive decisions/choices in life as well as instilling in the students; moral and ethical insights to be good productive citizens.
