Teaching
Last year when I joined DWU in April 2017, I was tasked to do the following:
- Taught one Science unit (EDSC101: Living Things & the Environment).
- Taught and wrote one Community Development unit (EDCD101: Making A Living).
- Worked with Prof. Norman to write Community Development unit (EDCD401: Specialism 1).
This year 2018, in Semester 1, I am tasked to do the following:
- Teaching and rewriting one Science unit (EDSC301: Earth and Space).
- Teaching another Science Unit (EDSC201: Physical Science).
Note:
I am working with the Head of Mathematics/Science/Community Development and Academic Program Coordinator for the DWU Faculty of Education St Benedict campus, Wewak to write a three year project proposal to get external funding and resources to improve the quality of our programs.

National Program Manager – Managed programs and taught Academic Writing Skills course for the Asia Pacific Institute of Applied Social, -Economic and Technical Studies (APIASETS), Port Moresby.
November 2014 – November 2015:
Project Manager – Managed the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Project and working with children and communities for Save The Children Australia with project sites in EHP and ARoB.
March 2012 - November 2014:
Senior Program Officer – Coordinated various Child Sponsorships and child rights based development programs for ChildFund Australia by working with vulnerable children and communities in Central and Gulf Provinces.
January 2010-Febuary 2012:
Administration and Finance Officer – Provided Administration and took charge of educational projects funds for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO), and too represented the Regional Director for UNESCO Cluster Office for the South Pacific States in Apia, Samoa to the United Nations Country (UNCT) in PNG.
January 2009-December 2009:
National Program Officer – Acted as the Focal-Point and represented UNESCO in PNG by working with various development partners and representing the Regional Director for UNESCO Cluster Office for the South Pacific States in Apia, Samoa to the UNCT in the United Nation’s system in PNG.
January 2006 – June 2008:
Student – Studied full-time at the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
January 1999 -December 2004:
Program Manager – Managed the Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (DoVET) program in training of Vocational Teachers (Pre-service and In-service) with substantial donor funding as a one-stop hub for the National Department of Education at PNG Education Institute, Port Moresby.
September 2001 – September 2002:
Student – Studied full-time at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
January 1998-December 1998:
Senior Project Officer – Worked with the National Department of Education to design and develop the DoVET program for training of Vocational Teachers (Pre-service and In-service) in PNG by implementing the Education Reform Policy.
January 1996- December 1997:
Senior Lecturer – Coordinated and taught Vocational Teachers (Pre-service and In-service) in the Certificate of Teaching Vocational Education program.
January 1993 – December 1995:
Lecturer – Taught both Vocational (Pre-sevice and In-service) and Primary Teachers (In-service) in upgrading their teaching qualifications to Diploma level under the Education Reform Policy.
